Surgery

Riley had to have surgery on Monday, May 23rd on her eye. She had been getting major eye infections. We had been through several rounds of antibiotics, eye drops, trips to the doctor, trips to the specialist.  Riley had a blocked tear duct.

We had to go in at 6am and have her tear duct probed. She had the nurses wrapped around her finger. They let her push the button to open and close the door to the operating room over and over again while we waited for the doctors/surgeons. She did great. We were worried that she be upset at not getting to have a bottle when we woke her up early in order to get to the hospital. She wasn't able to eat until it was all over.

The doctor said it was successful and it was a good thing we did the surgery. He heard a "pop" when he opened each tear duct. After the surgery (a total of 20 minutes or so) we were able to go back and see her....that is when she started to cry. She realized we had left her and then really wanted a bottle.

Daddy entertaining her as trainer has lots of experience doing.
